What It Does
The co-rotating twin screw extruder is the core machine for plastic compounding and masterbatch. It continuously plasticizes, mixes, shears, vents and homogenizes polymers together with additives, fillers and pigments.
How It Works
Polymer and additives are metered into the barrel; two co-rotating intermeshing screws convey and shear the material through modular processing zones; vacuum venting removes moisture and volatiles; the homogenized melt is filtered and then strand- or die-face pelletized.
